Brian Williams On Campaign Rhetoric: "Wasn't Our Finest Moment"
"They had a bad night," NBC's Brian Williams said about Karl Rove's PAC during an appearance on CBS's "Late Show" with David Letterman. "A lot of people had a bad night. But because of this Citizens United Supreme Court decision, that as I keep saying can be reversed by Citizens, comma, united -- the people get to fix this thing, if we want to -- money has now flooded in. It's like these floods we're seeing in real life. It's hard to let it drain back out again. It's kind of in there to stay and we know what sets in once it gets in."
"Remember, no one's a saint in politics," Williams said about political rhetoric. "And if you want to, you can attach labels to a ton of Democrats who were running for office, too. It's kind of like proving a negative. This wasn't our finest moment, this campaign, in terms of rhetoric."
