Obama: "We Don't Need To Do Anything Radical To Solve This Problem"
"We don't need a balanced budget amendment. We simply need to make these tough choices and be willing to take on our bases. Everybody knows it. I mean we could have a discussion right here about what the numbers look like. We know what's necessary. Here's the good news: It turns out we don't have to do anything radical to solve the problem. Contrary to what some folks say, we are not Greece. we are not Portugal. It turns out that our problem is we've cut taxes without paying for them over the last decade," President Obama said at his press conference on Friday.
